| Thrilling finish in the Kuala Lumpur leg |
16th June, K.Lumpur: A thrilling finish ended the SportExcel-NSC-Milo-MTBC Junior Circuit Kuala Lumpur leg as Fatin Syazliana, Muhammad Fazrin B Khairul Faizi claimed their second circuit title this year while Hee Kar Yen took her third at Ampang Superbowl Times Square.
National youth, Fatin Syazliana Bte Adi Nasution had to work hard for the victory after being forced into the deciding stepladder match when she lost to challenger, Tengku Emanina Bte Tg Zahri of Kedah, 175-193 in the first match. But the 17-year-old Bukit Jalil Sports school pre-U came back to pip her opponent, 195-192 in the crucial match to claim her second Girl's Open title this year.
Fatin had earlier cruised to a comfortable 144 pins margin in the 8-game round-robin matchplay semifinals to go into the stepladder finals as top-seed. Fatin's title came from the first leg in March in Penang. |

Asian Schools-bound and fourth-seed, Tengku Emanina settled for second despite edging second-seed and ex-national, Nor Atteya Bte Zainal Abidin of Perak and fourth-seed, Siti Najwa Bte Mohd Sanap of Johor, 201-200-199 in the thrilling first stepladder match.

Muhammad Fazrin B Khairul Faizi of Perak also won his second title after the third-seed outclassed top-seed, Muhammad Amirul Afif of Kuala Lumpur in two matches. Fazrin was superb in the first when he beat Amirul, 213-153 and then went on to take the Boy's Open title, 190-165 in the decider.
The SMK Gunong Rapat Pusat Sukan Negeri Form 4 pupil earned a crack at the title after he ousted two Penang youths, second-seed, Adrian Charles Dragon of Penang and fourth-seed, Khoo Beng Khai, 218-182-178 in the first match.
The star of the leg was unboudtedly the Pyramid Youth, Hee Kar Yen. The SMK Assunta Form 4 pupil won her third Girl's Under-16 circuit title after knocking out two Perak girls, Nurshazwani Bte Ismail and Nur Farah Asyiqin Bte Rashid, 176-136-137 in the first match. |

Hee then won the first match against top-seed, Nurdiana Hussin of Kuala Lumpur with a convincing 248-198 forcing Nurdiana into the sudden-death decider. The champion was equally impressive in the second match to claim the crown, 213-181.
In the Boy's Under-16 division, Ahmad Amiruddin B Ridhallah of Selangor claimed his maiden title when he had beat top-seed, Teh Lit Qing of Perak in two matches. Ahmad edge Teh, 177-167 in the first match and then cruised to a comfortable victory in the second, 214-178.
Joe Slowenski, Director of Coaching and Coaches Certification for Sukan Teras, was on hand to present medals and Milo hampers to the winners. The stop will be on 6th to 8th July at Ampang Superbowl, Pelangi Leisure Mall in Johor Bahru. |

| Fabulous day for Penang and Perak youths |
16th June, K.Lumpur: Penang and Perak youths had a fabulous day in the SportExcel-NSC-Milo-MTBC Junior Circuit Kuala Lumpur leg as their youths grabbed pole positions in the quarterfinals contested at Ampang Superbowl Times Square Saturday afternoon.
Penang youths, Adrian Charles Dragon and Fatin Syazliana Bte Adi Nasution topped the Boy's and Girl's quarterfinals which ended in a trilling finish especially for the boy's division. Adrian, who led Stage 1 with a comfortable margin of 70 pins saw his lead reduced to 44 pins at the start of the 6-game quarterfinals.
Kuala Lumpur's Muhammad Amirul Afif kept the pressure on the leader and managed to level at at 2155 after 3 games. The duo continue a ding-dong battle and was still level after 4 games. While the two were challenging each other for the lead, Asian Schools-bound, Fahmi Bahri grabbed the lead in the fifth game to lead by just 2 pins. |

With the final game to play, Adrian fought back galantly with 234 in his final game to snatch the lead with an accumulated total of 2781 over the two blocks. Fahmi settled for second with 2773, just 8 pins adrift while Penang's Khoo Beng Khai stormed home for third spot with 2759.

Pace-setter, Muhammad Amirul Afif dropped to fourth with a poor 148 in his final game for a total of 2716 with Syimir Abdul Razak of Pyramid Youth, Noor Afizal Azizan of Negeri Sembilan, Muhammad Fazrin B Khairul Faizi of Perak and Mohammad Amin of Kuala Lumpur making the top 8 to qualify for tomorrow' semifinals.
Stage 1 leader, Fatin Syazliana gave Penang something to celebrate as she cruised to a comfortable lead of 53 pins ending the quarterfinals in front on 2760. Ex-national, Nor Atteya Bte Zainal Abidin of Perak stromed home to snatch second spot with 2707.
Johor's Siti Najwa Bte Mohd Sanap did well to finish third with 2614 ahead of Pahang's Jerusha Chan in fourth and Pyramid Youth's Yap Wi Yin fifth. Asian Schools-bound, Tengku Emanina Bte Tg Zahri of Kedah, Diyana Zuhaili of Penang and Neger Sembilan's Hurul Ainul Bte Abu Razak completed the top 8 for the semifinals. |

Meanwhile the top 2 positions remained unchanged in the the Boy's Under-16 division after the quarterfinals were completed. Stage 1 leader, Mohd Amin B Abdul Razak of Perak continue to lead with 2618 followed by Perak's Teh Lit Qing in second and Ahmad Amiruddin B Ridhallah of Selangor third.
Teh amassed 2600 for second while Ahmad Amiruddin totaled 2582 over the 14-game two blocks. Chan Wei Siang of Johor, Ahmad Faison of Selangor, Mohd Qusyairy Amir of Kuala Lumpur, Raja Mohd Firdaus and Nazmi Ziyad B Nasir rounded up the top 8.
Stage 1 leader of the Girl's Under-16 division, Nurdiana Hussin of Kuala Lumpur settled for second with 2443 with the lead taken over by Perak's Nushazwani Bte Ismail, who posted 2470. Twice winner, Hee Kar Yen of Pyramid Youth, finished third with 2432, just 11 pins further. |

Nur Shahira Abd Manaf of Kuala Lumpur, Fatin Azmira Khairul Faizi of Perak, Sharifah Marissa of Selangor, Nur Farah Asyiqin of Perak and Haslinda Bte Jusli of SSBP, Johor made the cut for the semifinals from fourth to eighth positions respectively.
All the top 8 in each of the four divisions will continue their contest over the 8-game round-robin matchplay semifinals. The top 4 at the end of the semifinals will proceed to the stepladder grand finals to determine this leg's champion.

| Penang youth snatches pole |
16th June, K.Lumpur: National youth from Penang, Adrian Charles Dragon snatched pole position in the Boy's Open Stage 1 of the SportExcel-NSC-Milo-MTBC Junior Circuit which resumed this morning at Ampang Superbowl Times Square.
Youths from Penang has certainly displayed dominance of late as national youth member, Adrian Charles Dragon ended the 8-game Stage 1 with a total of 1618 pinfalls to lead the top 20 into the quarterfinals. Adrian's teammate, Fatin Syazliana Bte Adi Nasution had yesterday topped the girl's division with a comfortable 75 pins margin.
Starting moderately, Adrian suffered a set back in the third game with a 160 but the 17-year-old fought back galantly with two high games of 222 and 216. Despite another low game of 165 in the fifth game, the Penangnite recovered with 226 and 228 to end the block in front. |

National rookie, Mohammed Amin of Kuala Lumpur did well with two strong games to take second spot with 1548 while Muhammad Amirul Afif, also from Kuala Lumpur finished third with 1544, just 4 pins adrift.
Pace-setter and 2005 National youth champion, Noor Afizal Azizan could not maintain his hot pace to finish fourth with 1528 from Asian Schools-bound, Symiri Abdul Razak of Pyramid Youth in fifth spot with 1517. The top 20 made the cut for the quarterfinals with Tengku Afnan Tengku Zahri in 20th with 1422.
Kuala Lumpur youths dominated the Girl's Under-16 Stage 1 late last night with Nurdiana Hussin and Radin Nur Najwa occupying the top 2 positions. Nurdiana totaled 1411 to lead teammate, Radin, who amassed 1402 into the quarterfinals. |

Twice winner, Hee Kar Yen of Pyramid Youth finished third with 1395 ahead of Nur Shahira Abdul Manaf of Kuala Lumpur and Nursyamimi Binti Supardi of Perak rounding up the top 5 with 1392 and 1372 respectively.
The top 28 girls made the cut for another 6 games in the quarterfinals which will be played later today. The top 8 from each of the four divisions at the end of the quarterfinals will proceed to the round-robin matchplay semifinals tomorrow.

15th June, K.Lumpur: National youth, Fatin Syazliana Bte Adi Nasution of Penang stole the limelight by nearly scoring a perfect game en-route to leading the Girl's Open Stage 1 of the SportExcel-NSC-Milo-MTBC Junior Circuit Kuala Lumpur Leg underway at the 48-lane Ampang Superbowl Times Square.
Despite starting with a lowly game of 169, Fatin Syazliana brought the house at a standstill as she reeled 11 consecutive strikes in her second game and was aiming to become the first bowler to score a perfect game at Ampang Superbowl Times Square.
As she went for the special house award of RM1,000, she pulled her shot slightly and the ball went straight onto the head pin ending with a 7-pin split. But the high game of 297 shot her into the lead. The 17-year-old Penangnite went on to end the 8-game Stage 1 by a comfortable 75 pins on a total of 1623. |

Pahang's Jerusha Chan trailed Fatin most of the way to finish second with 1548 ahead of Pyramid Youth's Yap Wi Yin in third spot with 1533. Ex-national, Nor Atteya Zainal Abidin of Perak stormed home with 225 to take up forth with 1523 with Hurul Ainul Abu Razak completing the top 5 on 1487.

Asian Schools championship bound, Ili Syazana of Selangor finished sixth with 1455 but her teammate to be and twice champion this year, Syaidatul Afifah Bte Badrul Hamidi missed the cut for the quarterfinals in 16th position.
Earlier this morning, Mohammed Amin Bin Abdul Razak and Teh Lit Qing of Sukan Teras Perak, dominated Squad A of the Boy's Under-16 division with a 1-2 finish. Mohammed Amin posted 1553, just 13 pins ahead of Lit Qing, who knocked down 1520.
Megalanes Shah Alam's Raja Mohd Firdaus did well to take up third spot with 1482 while Leng Sing Yee of Kuala Lumpur and Faiz Miza Yeop Zain of Perak rounded up the top 5 with 1416. Squad B of the Boy's Under-16 and Girl's Under-16 division will contest their Stage 1 in the evening. |
