| Third title for National youths |
6th August, Seremban: National youths, Fatin Syazliana of Penang and Tengku Afnan of Kedah captured their third title this year after the duo triumphed in the stepladder finals of the SportExcel-NSC-Milo-MTBC Junior Circuit Negeri Sembilan which ended this Sunday afternoon.
Stage 1 and quarterfinals leader, Fatin Syazliana captured her third junior circuit title this year after she defeated third-seed and chalenger in two matches, Nazrinnah Mohd Kamil of Perak, 160/210 to 174/183. The victory gave moved Fatin to the top of the GP rankings for the Grand Slam finals end of this month.
The runner-up settled for second despite knocking out second-seed, June Lim Wai Jun of Pahang and fourth-seed, Pang Shi Wan of Melaka, 202-195-176 in the first match before going down to the champion. June Lim dropped to third and Pang remained fourth. |

Another national youth and top-seed, Tengku Afnan of Kedah edged challenger, Muhd Fahd Hazali of Kuala Lumpur, 214-203 in the final stepladder match to captured his third junior circuit title this year.
The victory also allowed the 17-year-old to move to the top of the GP rankings with 730 points. Muhd Fahd claimed second despite ousting third-seed, Muhammad Saman and fourth-seed, Syed Muzaffar, both from Pahang, 192-136-164 to have a crack at the title. |
In the Girl's division, fourth-seed Dina Nurnadia of Selangor claimed her maiden victory after she beat top-seed in two matches, Nazira Nasir of Pahang, 204/163 to 197-158. The champion had earlier knocked out second-seed, Hurul Ainul of Negeri Sembilan and third-seed, Haslina Jusli of SSBP, 184-170-172.
The Boy's Graded title went to Melaka's Kevin Tan after he ousted top-seed again in two matches, 201/183 to 173/167. The champion thrashed third-seed, Mohd Iqbal of Pahang and fourth-seed, Teh Lit Qing, 214-183-176 in the first match.
Bowlers who have competed in this year's circuit have earned ranking points to make the GP Finals which will be held on 18th - 20th August at Pyramid Mega Lanes. The finals will include bowlers from the Sarawak and Sabah legs qualifiers. |

| National youths take over lead |
5th August, Seremban: National youths, Tengku Afnan of Kedah and Fatin Syazliana of Penang took over the lead of the Boy's and Girl's Open division in the quarterfinals of the SportExcel-NSC-Milo-MTBC Junior Circuit Negeri Sembilan Saturday evening.
Winner of back-to-back titles in Seberang Prai and Johor this year, national youth, Tengku Afnan B Tengku Zahari of Kedah, posted an impressive score of 1255 in the quarterfinals to take over the lead in the Boy's Open division with an accummuated 14-game total of 2852.
Kuala Lumpur's Muhd Fahd Hazali stormed home in the last 3-game series to snatch second spot with 2824 whie Pahang's Muhammad Saman maintained third with 2815. Johor's Afiq Rifqi finished fourth with 2783 ahead of Stage 1 leader, Syed Muzaffar who dropped to fifth with 2764. |

In the Girl's Open division, Stage 1 leader, Fatin Syazliana of Penang continued to top the field with 2906 after another impressive performance in the quarterfinals. Pahang's June Lim Wai Jun continued to trail the leader but by a bigger margin of 143 pins on a score of 2753.
SUKMA two Gold medalist and national youth, Nazrinnah Mohd Kamil improved two spots from fifth to third with a total of 2661 while Kuala Lumpur's Nicoe Teong and Pang Shi Wan of Melaka made up the top 5 in fourth and fifth positions. |
Meanwhile, Nazira Nasir of Pahang took over the lead in the Girl's Graded division after the 6-game quarterfinas were completed. Nazria posted 1090 to add to her stage 1 score of 1487 to total 2577 for the lead and ahead of Stage 1 leader, Liew Li Jian dropped to second with 2545.
Seangor's Dina Nurnadia improved from seventh overnight to take up third spot with 2490 followed by Stage 1 Squad A leader, Harul Ainul Abu Razak of Negeri Sembilan in fourth position with 2490.
The lead in the Boy's Graded division also changed hands as Ahmad Shazree B Ahmad Suhaimi of Johor moved up from fifth overnight to take over the lead with 2707. Mohd Iqbal Jaafar Sidek finished second with 2672 followed by Nazmi Ziyad B Nasir third with 2669. |

The top 8 in each division made the cut for tomorrow's Round-robin Matchplay semifinals where the top 4 will proceed to the stepladder finals to detemine the champions in this year's final leg and a chance to earn sufficient ranking points to make the Grand Slam Finals.

| Penang, Pahang youths lead Stage 1 |
5th August, Seremban: National youth, Fatin Syazliana of Penang and Pahang's Syed Muzaffar Syed Mshin led Stage 1 of the Girl's Open and Boy's Ope division in the SportExcel-NSC-Milo-MTBC Junior Circuit Negeri Sembilan leg this morning at Ampang Superbowl Seremban Parade.
Fatin, winner of the Penang and Selangor leg this year, posted lines of 181, 202, 241, 233, 187, 255, 191 and 210 for a total of 1700 to lead a field of 16 girls at the end of the Stage 1 this morning. The pint-sized Penangnite, who has improved tremendously this year especially after winning the Asian Schools Team Gold, will be hoping to win her third title.

third spot with 1490. Johor leg runner-up, Nicole Teong took fourth spot, just 1 pin away with 1489.
Ex-national youth, Syed Muzaffar Syed Moshin grabbed the lead in the Boy's Open division after amassing an 8-game total of 1676 and with a comfortable margin fo 61 pins. Johor's Afiq Rifqi finished second with 1615 while another Pahang youth, Muhammad Saman claimed third spot with 1607.
Two time circuit winner, Tengku Afnan of Kedah and national youth, Rodson Tong of Pahang completed the top 5 in fourth and fifth positions on totals of 1597 and 1596 respectively. The top 16 boys and top 12 girls made the cut for another 6 games in the quarterfinals which will be played later today.

| Perak youth takes over lead |
4th August, Seremban: Perak youth, Teh Lit Qing took over the lead of the Boy's Graded division of the SportExcel-NSC-Milo-MTBC Junior Circuit Negeri Sembilan leg as Squad B completed their 8-game Stage 1 while while Kuala Lumpur's Liew Li Jian topped the Girl's Graded division.
Teh started a cracking pace with 221 and 226 in the opening games and continued to maintain a good pace throughout the 8-game block to lead the field of 116 bowlers by 18 pins. Teh, whose best showing this year was finishing third in the Penang leg and fourth in the Johor leg, looked set for his maiden win.
Nazmi Ziyad B Nasir of SSBP, Johor finished second with 1531 with Kelvin Tan Hock Loong in a close third, 11 pins adrift on the total of 1520. Squad A leader, Mohd Hazlan Harman Shah of Negeri Sembilan settled for fourth with a total of 1510. |

Meanwhile, Kuala Lumpur's Liew Li Jian topped the girl's division with a score of 1489 despite a low 153 in her second game. But the leader came back with a strong fourth and final game to snatch the lead by just 2 pins.
Nazira Nasir of Pahang stromed home in the final game to snatch second spot with 1487 ahead of Squad A leader, Hurul Ainul Bte Abu Razak of Negeri Sembilan in third with 1442. Selangor leg champion, Sharifah Nurfarhana of Megalanes K.L. finished fourth with 1427 with Haslina Bte Jusli completing the top 5 in fifth with 1406.
The top 48 boys and top 28 girls made the cut for tomorrow's quarterfinals in which they will bowl another 6 games to determine the top 8 for the round-robin matchplay semifinals on Sunday, 6th August. |

The Girl's and Boy's Open will contest their first stage of 8 games on Saturday before the field is reduced to top top 12 girls and top 16 boys for their quarterfinals. The top4 at the end of the semifinals will proceed to the stepladder finals.

| Local youths dominate Stage 1 |
3rd August, Seremban: Twenty-eight youths took to the lanes at Ampang Superbowl for the Stage 1 of the final leg of this year's SportExcel-NSC-Milo-MTBC Junior Circuit Negeri Sembilan which ended Thursday evening with Mohd Hazlan Harman and Hurul Ainul Bte Abdul Razak topping the Boy's and Girl's Graded division.
Mohd Hazlan posted lines of 158, 214, 196, 187, 174, 203, 188 and 190 for a total of 1510. The leader started off poorly with a 158 but bounced back with 214 to set course for the lead. Muhd Nur Effendy Nurdin, also from Seremban, finished a distant second, 115 pins away on a score of 1399 while Amir Affendi Zulkifli finished third with 1378.
In the Girl's Graded division, Hurul Ainul Bte Abdul Razak of Seremban was equaly impressive when she posted a total of 1442 to take the lead. Hurul had lines of 181, 168, 220, 214, 176, 166, 173 and 144. |

Nur Diana Husin, the only girl from Kuala Lumpur and Farah Alyaa Shahril of Seremban took second and third spots with 1372 and 1292 respectively. More Boy's and Girl's Graded youths will bowl their Stage 1 and the final leader will be determined when the scores are combined. The top 48 boys and top 28 girls will make the cut for the qurterfinals.
