10 out of 14 Malaysian Harimau bowlers qualified for the BEC 2012 Finals at 8:30am this morning at Plaza Bowling Center, St.Maximin, France.
Setting the pace was our young lass in Siti Safiyah who fired a morale boosting 266 opening game; closely followed by Shalin Zulkifli who reeled six consecutive strikes for a 258 opening game and Adrian Ang stormed home for a 244 opener. Zandra Aziela caught the attention of the capacity crowd as she salvo a huge 258 after her opening 212 game to hit the front. |

At this point, these four Malaysians were in the top 16 bracket while Nur Aiman, Syafiq Ridhwan and Shalin Zulkifli were hovering near the border line. Adrian Ang sustained his rhythm to reel the lines of 199 & 235 for a 1343 six games series total and made the cut to proceed into Finals Stage 2 whereas his fellow team mates succumbed.

Being the sole flag bearer for Malaysia, Adrian Ang made an inspiring start with 235 and followed up with lines of 184, 225, 200, 259. In his last game, Adrian was on course to make the cut for the Finals Stage 3. However, much to the astonishment of our Malaysian supporters and officials, Adrian fired a solid 1-3 pocket delivery to witness pin 8 stood unscathed and had to be contended with a 233 game; resulting in a 1336 series total. Adrian missed the cut by 18 pins and ended his campaign on 11th position.
