    Enjoying strawberries for breakfast

It's a refreshing scene to watch our athletes and officials enjoying their healthy breakfast menu this morning.

 

Energized by the sweet strawberries calories, petite Zandra Aziela blazed the lanes, reeled eight consecutive strikes to complete an awesome 276 opening game. Zandra followed through with lines of 196, 182, 230, 247 & 236 for a commanding 1367 series. Aided with a 48 pins handicap, Zandra leapfrogged into 9th position on the leader board; just 3 pins ahead of team mate, Muhd Nur Aiman.

 

Making a strong come back is Shalin Zulkifli who put up a credible performance with lines of 200, 224, 220, 203, 266 & 226 (+48) for a 1387 total to well position on 15th placing.

 

Jacqueline Sijore is placed 16th, just 1 pin behind Shalin while Dayang Khairuniza stayed at 20th placing with 1363 total. The other Malaysian women are still in the race for the top 50 qualifiers cut off. Sharon Koh - 1296 - 51st; Sin Li Jane - 1287 - 55th; Esther Cheah - 1282 - 57th; & Siti Safiyah - 1206 - 108th.

Spurred on by the encouraging results of our women's performance earlier, Zulmazran Zulkifli displayed a spirited performance to lead our Malaysian charge.

 

Bowling in his second qualifying attempt, Zulmazran clinically reeled the lines of 244, 195, 233, 248, 259 & 238 for an awesome 1417 total. In the overall leader board after Squad 14, Zulmazran is on 9th position.

Lanky Syafiq Ridhwan shot a commendable performance with lines of 236, 201, 277, 193, 255 & 213 for a 1375 series total and improved his position to 21st position.
