Malaysia's challenge in the Women's & Men's Open Finals at Singapore International Open 2012 fizzled out as none of our Elite bowlers made the cut for the top 4 Step-Ladder Finals after 16 games.
In the Women's division, Sin Li Jane could not lift up her games despite her pocket deliveries; bowled the lines of 175, 185, 183, 187, 173 & 237 for a 6 games series 1140 total. Li Jane's accumulated score of 3165 earned herself a consolation 9th place.
18 pins behind Li Jane was Dayang Khairuniza on 11th position with 3147 combined total. Southpaw, Zatil Iman finished on 15th position with 3062; followed by 17th placed Shalin Zulkifli with 3047 total. Siti Shazwani ended on 21st place with 3020 total; Siti Safiyah on 22nd place with 3014 and Syaidatul Afifah on 26th place with 2986 total. |
Later in the afternoon, youngster Aris Ardila rallied strongly to storm home as the best Malaysian performer to clinch 11th place with a combined 3374 total, averaged 210.88. One rung below was southpaw, Muhd Nur Aiman who returned with a combined 3336 total.

Zulmazran Zulkifli and Adrian Ang scored 3161 & 3158 total to finish 23rd and 24th place respectively. Chong Jun Foo completed his campaign on 28th place with 3099 total. Alex Liew & Aaron Kong were placed 32nd and 33rd respectively with 3070 and 3068 total. Johnathan Chan ended on 35th place with 3042, followed by Isaac Russell Paul on 39th place with 3007 and Yusuf Abdul Raof anchored on 42nd place with 2868 total.
