18th March, Petaling Jaya: 1999 Asian Bowler of the Year, Kenny Ang ended his almost two year drought to win the 23rd Land & General-MAS Malaysian International Open title at the Pyramid Bowl, Sunway Lagoon Resort. Ang, who made the cut for the 15-game Round-robin finals together with 5 other Malaysian bowlers, amassed a total of 3,350 pinfalls to finish top of the Men's Open division before setting himself up for the Step-ladder grand finals.
