RULES & REGULATIONS
  1. OBJECTIVE
    The objective of this Championship is to foster and promote goodwill, friendship and sportsmanship amongst the local and foreign youth bowling fraternity.
  2. ORGANISATION
    This International Junior Bowling Championship is organised by Pyramid Bowl and sanctioned by the MTBC and the Asian Bowling Federation. MTBC and ABF playing rules and regulations shall apply on matters not covered therein.
  3. DATE
    This Championship will be held from 9th to 17th December 2000.
  4. ELIGIBILITY
    All current MTBC members of good standing and foreign bowlers accredited by their respective Congress/ Federation/ Association, are eligible to participate in this Championship.
  5. ENTRY FEES
    All entries must be submitted with the relevant fees. No refund will be allowed.
  6. REGISTRATION FEES
    RM40.00 per bowler (one time payment)
  7. MASTER QUALIFYING
    RM60.00 per attempt of 4 games.
  8. SQUAD TIMES
    If preferred squad times indicated on the entry forms are not available, the Tournament Directors or Assistants reserve the right to reallocate squad times at their discretion. The Tournament Directors reserve the right to open additional squads.
  9. REGISTRATION OF BOWLING BALLS
    It is the bowlers' responsibility to ensure that all bowling balls used during the Championship are verified for correctness of weight and other specifications, confirming to ABF Rules and Regulations. If in doubt, the ball may be verified by the Tournament Technical Committee. The Tournament Technical Committee reserves the right to recall any ball(s) for inspection at any time.
  10. TIE BREAKING PROCEDURES
    When a tie occurs for the last place in the Qualifying Or Finals, a one game roll-off shall be held to determine the positions. If a tie exists in (9.i) after the tie breaker, the ninth and tenth frame roll-off will be utilized and/or repeated until the tie is broken.
  11. MASTER'S FINALS
    1. BOYS GRADED AND GIRLS GRADED
      This event open to boys averaging 170 and below and girls average of 160 and below. The fee is RM120.00 for both Boys and Girls finalist. The top 32 Boy and top 12 Girl qualifiers will bowl 10 games scratch, total pinfalls to decide the winners. Final on Sunday, 17th December 2000 at 9:00am. Check-in at 8:30am.
    2. BOYS OPEN AND GIRLS OPEN
      The fee is RM180.00 for both Boys and Girls finalist. The top 32 Boy and top 14 Girl qualifiers will bowl 12 games. The top 4 finishers based on total pinfalls shall advance to the Step-Ladder Grand Finals. The 4th, 3rd and 2nd position bowler will bowl one game on a pair of lanes. The lowest pinfall will declare as 4th Position. The 2nd lowest pinfall will declared as 3rd Position. The highest pinfall of the bowler will proceed to challenge the 1st position bowler for 2 games total pinfall to decide the Master's Champion. Final on Sunday, 17 December 2000 at 1:00pm. Check-in at 12:30pm.
  12. AWARDS
    Prizes in the form of Cash Vouchers will be awarded to the winners.
  13. VERIFICATIONS OF SCORES
    It is the bowlers' responsibility to ensure that the correct score for each game is recorded in the official score sheet by signing on the official score sheet.
  14. PROTEST
    Scores : Must be submitted in writing to the Tournament Directors or their Assistants within 12 hours of the event. No protest made after the prize presentation will be entertained.
    Eligibility : Must be submitted in writing to the Tournament Directors or their Assistants within 24 hours of the first infringement.
    Foul : Must be brought to the attention of the Lane Marshal before the delivery of the next ball. No complaints made after the 2nd ball has been bowled shall be entertained.
  15. SPECIAL NOTES
    The Tournament Directors, or, in his absence, his appointed official on duty, reserves the right to accept or reject any entry as deem fit. Any matters arising which are not covered in these Rules and Regulations will be decided by the Tournament Directors (through adoption of the MTBC / ABF playing Rules and Regulations). The decision of the Tournament Directors shall be final, subject only to appeal to the MTBC Council and ABF. Such appeal should be made in writing and within 48 hours of the decision by any of the above.
