ABOUT THE GAMES

Introduction

Penang will be hosting the 8th Sukan Malaysia from 26th - 31st May 2000. The 7th Malaysian Games was held in Selangor. The 2000 games will include tenpin bowling. There will be a total of 19 contingents comprising of 14 states including Labuan, Brunei, MSSM (Majlis Sukan Sekolah-Sekolah Malaysia), Polis DiRaja Malaysia and MASUM (Majlis Sukan Universiti-Universiti Malaysia).

A total of 24 events will be contested for a total of 301 Gold, 301 Silver and 347 Bronze medals in this 7th Malaysian Games 1998. The events are:

GAMES VILLAGE
Location of the Games Village

The official games village is located at Universiti Pertanian Malaysia (UPM), Penang which will house the team officials and atheletes.

Location

Tenpin Bowling will be held at Mega Lanes, a Brunswick 50-lanes center. It is located on Level 3 of the MegaMall Shopping Centre in Seberang Prai.
