The Malaysian Tenpin Bowling Congress (MTBC’74) is the National governing body of the Sport of Tenpin Bowling in Malaysia and recognised as such by the Malaysian Olympic Committee and the Government, the latter through its Ministry of Sports and the National Sports Council. It is also recognised as such by the Asian Bowling Federation, the World Tenpin Bowling Association and the FIQ.
Its officers are all total volunteers giving their time, expertise and services freely,
on a motto of "Together we serve to better our Sport".
Its objectives and resolve are to promote, regulate and organise the Sport of Tenpin Bowling
in Malaysia with particular emphasis on excellence.
The Congress depends for its sustenance largely on its corporate Sports partner (Rakan Sukan), Land & General Berhad whose Chairman Tan Sri Azmi Wan Hamzah and whose Group Managing Director Dato Abdul Karim Ahmad Tarmizi have both been most supportive, in fact to a fault, and also on the National Sports Council where its Director General Dato Mazlan Ahmad has been very understanding and has instituted invaluable assistance. The other regular sponsors have been Nestle (Milo), SportsExcel and Malaysia Airlines as also a host of "friends of Bowling" to all of whom we would like to record here our eternal thanks.
