Introduction
The Malaysian Tenpin Bowling Congress (MTBC) is once again proud to announce that there will be a pool of world-class bowlers participating in this year’s 28th Malaysian International Open Bowling Championship 2005 from the 12 - 25 March, 2005. The championship will be held at the Sunway Pyramid Megalanes, Sunway Lagoon Resorts which hosted the highly successful 15th World Tenpin Bowling Championship in September 2003. We will be extending invitations to many world-class bowlers to participate in this prestigious championship. Our national bowlers and 2004 Asian Ranked No. 1, Shalin Zulkifli, World Tenpin Team Cup and World Championship Team Gold medalists, Sarah Yap, Hong Kong Open and ABF Tour Tournament of Champions - champion Wendy Chai, World Tenpin Team Cup Men's champion, Alex Liew, Daniel Lim, Zulmazran Zulkifli, Santa Claus Open champion Mohd Nadri and 2003 Malaysian National Champion, Jonathan Lim will all be pitching their skills againgst these world-class bowlers on home ground. There are two official hotels: Pyramid Hotel (RM185 nett wo/breakfast) and Sunway Lagoon Resort Hotel (RM285 net wo/breakfast) are available for booking. We only have a total of 100 rooms and reservations are on a first-come-first-served basis. The championship's joint-main sponsors are Canon Marketing, Sri Jentayu, and Sunway Lagoon Resorts (and official hotel), joint co-sponsors Malaysia Airlines (official airlines), Milo (International Youth Masters sponsor), Antioni (official attire) and Pyramid Megalanes (official venue). The ABF Tour 2005 will be held following the Malaysian Open on the 26 - 27 March at the same venue where the top 16 Asian men and women bowlers from each Men's and Ladies' Open Masters event will qualify for the Malaysia Leg. Each participant will gain Tour Ranking points according to their positions. At the same time, the Malaysian Open will be a ranking leg for the World Ranking Masters 2006.
