2nd Pahang Open Bowling Championship Rules | Prize | Squad Times

Rules and Regulations

  1. ELIGIBILITY
    1. This is an individual event open to all bowlers based on MTBC average. Handicap shall be given in various average categories (please refer to handicap table). The handicap shall be added to each game bowled in Singles, Masters qualifyig and Masters finals roll-off.
    2. All bowlers must complete at least one Singles before a Masters qualifying attempt in their respective categories.
    3. Each Singles/Masters qualifying per attempt is 4 games.
    4. There are three categories in thsi championship: 1) Open Division, 2) Graded Division and 3) Junior Division (one day event).
    5. Junior Division:
      Junior Boys and Girls aged 21 years and below (Born in 1983 and after) will bowl in Junior Division with handicap added for Boy's Open, Boy's Graded and Girl's Junior bowlers (please refer to handicap table).
    6. Graded Division
      Men's Graded B, Men's Graded A and Ladies Graded will bowl in Graded Division with handicap added for Men's Graded B and Ladies Graded. The qualifying score will also be automatically listed in the Open Division with different set of handicap.
    7. Open Division
      Men's Open and Ladies Open will bowl in Open Division together with qualifiers from the Graded Division. Handicap will be added to Ladies Open.
    Note: Graded bowlers qualifying score will also be listed in the Open Division automatically and are eligible to bowl in the Open Division finals (final game fees not included).
     
  2. HANDICAP
    Handicap for non-classified bowlers without MTBC average shall be subject to the discretion of the organizing committee whose diceision shall be final used if deem fit.

     Men's Open  0 pin  Men's A  0 pin  Boy's National Youth  0 pin
     Ladies' Open  3 pins  Men's B  5 pins  BO & Girls National Youth  5 pins
     Men's A  5 pins  Ladies G  10 pins  BA and GO  10 pins
     Men's B  10 pins      Girls Graded  15 pins
     Ladies G  15 pins        

  3. ENTRY FEES - ALL DIVISIONS
    • Registration RM 60.00 (inclusive of souvenir)
    • Singles RM 60.00
    • Masters Qualifying (MQ) RM 60.00
    • Final - Graded Division RM 250.00 (12 games)
    • Final - Open Division RM 300.00 (15 games)
    • Final - Junior Division RM 120.00 (10 games)

    All fees paid are not refundable.
     
  4. MASTER FINALS
    Junior Division All registered Junior bowlers
    Date 3rd December 2004 (Friday)
    Roll-off Time 10.00am (10 games)
    Check-in Time 9.30am (10 games)
    Graded Division Top 24 qualifiers together with top 6 qualifiers from Pahang
    Date 4th December 2004 (Saturday)
    Roll-off Time 10.00am (12 games)
    Check-in Time 9.30am (10 games)
    Open Division Defending Champion plus top 29 qualifiers
    Date 5th December 2004 (Saturday)
    Roll-off Time 10.00am (15 games)
    Check-in Time 9.30am (10 games)
    1. All participants must check in at least half an hour before roll-off time. Reserves shall be called 15 minutes before roll-off.
    2. The Megalanes Kuantan Centre's clock shall be the official timepiece.

  5. SQUAD TIMES
    1. Every hour starting from 10.00am.
    2. last squad for Graded qualifying is at 10.45pm, 3rd December 2004.
    3. Last squad for Open qualifying is at 10.45pm, 4th December 2004.

  6. TIES
    1. If there is/are tie(s) in the Masters qualifying last position, one game roll-off will serve as tie breaker, should the tie(s) remain, then the 9th and 10th frames shall be played and repeated until the tie(s) is/are broken.
    2. Position standing after the Finals
      • In the 1st to 3rd placing where trophies are involved there shall be a one game roll-off to be played. Should the tie(s) still remain then the 9th and 10th frames shall be played and repeated until the tie(s) is/are broken.
      • In any of the 4th to 10th positions involving a difference in prize award, the prize will be divided equally.
