Phantep Bhayakaporn of Thailand did well to finished second despite winning only 3 out of the 8 games for a total of 3591 while Tomoyuki Sasaki found the pace too hot to maintain but made the spot in the stepladder finals in 3rd with 3578. First block leader Somjed Kusonpithak of Thailand fizzled out to 5th spot on 3550 behind Indonesia's Marco Putra who took 4th place with 3559.
All Events Gold medalist, Adrian Ang of Malaysia fought on galantly in an attempt to make the top 3 did not materialise as he manage to finished 7th with 3479 ahead of Doubles Gold medalist, Zaid Izlan in 8th with 3465 while Malaysia's remaining finalist, Eric Ang finished 11th with 3355.
The top 3 will battle it out in the stepladder finals to determine the champion, which will take place after the boys complete their second block of 8 games Masters finals.
