Siti Safiyah bags Best Female Athlete 2005

11th June, P.Jaya: National bowler, Siti Safiyah Amirah was awarded with the Best Female Athlete 2005 (Anugerah Puteri) at the MSSM-Milo 2005 Awards Presentation this morning.

The presentation, which took place at the Ministry of Education Auditorium in Putrajaya, awarded the 15-year-old Siti after she became the youngest-ever bowler to win the prestigious Malaysian International Open 2005 Women's Open Masters title beating a strong field of international stars including several world champions.

She also followed up by winning two gold and one bronze medals at the Asian School Championship, a gold medal in the Manila SEA Games in December, and reached semifinals of the ABF Tour Indonesia Leg in Jakarta.

With a great year in 2005, the Gemilang 2010 member will be looking forward to more successes this year after being selected to represent Malaysia in the coming 9th World Youth Championship in Berlin, Germany this July.
