11th June, P.Jaya: National bowler, Siti Safiyah Amirah was awarded with the Best Female Athlete 2005 (Anugerah Puteri) at the MSSM-Milo 2005 Awards Presentation this morning.
The presentation, which took place at the Ministry of Education Auditorium in Putrajaya, awarded the 15-year-old Siti after she became the youngest-ever bowler to win the prestigious Malaysian International Open 2005 Women's Open Masters title beating a strong field of international stars including several world champions.
She also followed up by winning two gold and one bronze medals at the Asian School Championship, a gold medal in the Manila SEA Games in December, and reached semifinals of the ABF Tour Indonesia Leg in Jakarta. |
