Following our Bulletin #2 sent out in March, we have already received entries from 31 countries. We wish to remind all those who have yet to forward your entries to take note that that the last date for submission of entries is June 8, 2003 in accordance with our WTBA playing rules 2003 under Rule 305. However we have decided to extend this cut off date to the 30th of June to facilitate those who have problems eg sourcing funding or others.

For entries received after June 30th but before August 8th, there will be a surcharge. The exact amount will be made known in a week after consultation with the Presidium.

August 8, 2003 will definitely be the final day for submission. All entries reaching us after August 8, 2003 will not be accepted.

Please ensure that you receive our acknowledgement if you have sent in your entry forms, otherwise please email us to find out if we have your entry in our file.

We have also set out the following fees for visitors and supporters who are not taking the accreditation package requested by some countries, as follows :-

All payments must be transfered to our bank account latest by June 30th, 2003 or penalty will be imposed as stated in para 3.1 above. Your entry fees payment must exclude all bank charges ie. we must receive in our bank the actual net amount, if not the balance must be paid on arrival prior to the commencement of the Championship.

All delegates who attend the WTBA Congresses (two days on September 7 & 8, 2003) and the FIQ Congress (on September 9, 2003) must pay a fee of USD100. Those who are doubling-up as delegates and officials (Team managers or Coaches) will need to pay only USD50 (in addition to the fee paid by your country) to attend the Congressess. This is to cover the three buffet lunches and 6 tea/coffee breaks at the 6-stars Sunway Lagoon Resort Hotel.

Most countries do not require any visa to enter Malaysia and they will be provided with minimun one month and maximum 3 months stay on arrival. Countries listed in the attached file will require VWTR (Visa without Reference), or VWR (Visa with Reference). Please confirm with your foreign affairs ministry or Malaysian embassy in your country. Should you require any document(s) to assist in your application for visa, please do not hesitate to contact us soonest.

Two of the 5 designated official hotels are most popular among booking forms already received from about 30 countries. The Summit USJ and the Sunway Lagoon Resort Hotel, both are adjacent to the bowling venues, and have been booked for 100% and 70% respectively. As the hotels provide only limited number of rooms and they are on a first-come-first-served basis, I urge those who have yet to send in your hotel reservation forms, to quickly do so to avoid disappointment. We do have of course, three other hotels in PJ Hilton, Sheraton Subang and Holiday Villa all within a short distance from the above two with regular shuttles service Hotel-Bowling Venue-Hotel.

We have arranged special air packages with our official carrier - Malaysia Airlines, to provide discounted airfare and excess baggage for all participants, managers, coaches , media and supporters. MAS has also agreed to provide 30 Kgs excess baggage extra over their normal 20 Kgs (total 50 Kgs) for each participant to cater for their bowling equipment. Please make booking with Malaysia Airlines in your area if you want to take advantage to this offer, then obtain a PNR booking number and forward it to us by email or fax. The special rate and excess baggage can only be given upon instruction issued from its HQ office in Kuala Lumpur after being confirmed by us.

Attached please find Form H - Bowler's information form, to be filled by all participants. We request this form to be sent to us as soon as when your bowlers are named. We require this information to be included in a bowler's data file which can be accessed and downloaded from our official website for all media personnel and the public. Electronic photos of every participants must also be submitted at the same time for inclusion in the souvenir program and accreditation. Deadline for submission - July 31, 2003. however we appreciate if you can give that to us earlier.

Arrangements are being made to have some of the events live telecast and delayed telecast, and a one-hour or more highlight program of the entire championship. We would appreciate if you could indicate to us if you wish to have the program telecast in your country. Our marketing agent will then contact your relevant authorities at a later date. Just fill up the attached form for TV coverage requirement and send it back to us soonest.

An official lane draw press conference will be held during last week of August or begining of September to specially conduct the lane draw code for each country instead of the usual draw done in the manager's meeting. A representative from each participating country's embassy in Kuala Lumpur will be invited to witness the draw which will be telecast through our national television on sport news and hopefully it will be carried worldwide.

We will appreciate if you can inform your country's embassy in Malaysia through your foreign ministry your confirmation to participate in the 15th World Championship in Malaysia. This will assist us when we forward them invitation, or to contact them to obtain your country flag or national anthem etc.
