The Boomerang didn't come back!

15th September, Kuala Lumpur
: The Australian trio of Emma Rutten, Kate Wilton and Jayde Flanagan performed the disappearing trick at the Pyramid Megalanes tonight. Coming up into first place from eighth after the second game they caught the organizer's unawares by rushing out to catch the bus to their distant hotel, instead of proceeding to the press room for pictures and interviews.

The Aussies finished the first three games of the six in the trios schedule with 1,890, which places them in third position overall, behind England and Korea.

Germany set the pace in tonight's second squad, opening with 716, but they slipped to a 583 in the second game, but still held pole position. Also in contention at that time were Venezuela and Korea, but whilst they suffered low games, Australia put together a 599, thanks to a 268 from Kate Wilton, so the Southern Cross reigns supreme for this squad.

Venezuela held second place and fourth overall, whilst the Germans are sixth overall. The concluding second set of three games take place Tuesday; the morning for the men and the evening for the women to decide the medals in this event.

Wednesday will see the first three games for both divisions in the five-person team event, then the top 16 men and 16 women will fight out the Masters.
