16th September, Kuala Lumpur: From dawn to midnight and beyond the fully-equipped Media Centre that has been installed at Pyramid Magalanes is buzzing. More than 100 local and international media representatives have been accredited by Championship organisers to cover the action and excitement of the 15th WTBA World Tenpin Bowling Championships.

Reporters and photographers from Australia, Belgium, Canada, Denmark, England, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Iceland, Japan, Norway, Scotland, Slovenia, Singapore, Spain, South Africa, Sweden, Switzerland, The Philippines and the United States are amongst the international contingent that has converged on Kuala Lumpur to cover the stories and results of the World Championships.

Each day, they are joined by an army of local media, keen to find a special angle, a unique story, or a spectacular photo to distribute to a massive audience worldwide. The official website that has been created for the Championships - www.bowlingworldchampionship2003.com - is also enjoying phenominal interest.

This will be the last World Championships combining both Men's and Women's events. The popularity and growth of the sport of tenpin bowling has required splitting future Championships, with the first individual World Championship for Women scheduled to be held in Aalborg, Denmark from 3-14 August 2005.
